USofCare Applauds Passage of Medicaid Expansion Ballot Initiatives

Published On November 8, 2018

Washington, DC – United States of Care released the following statements following the passage of Medicaid expansion initiatives that were on the ballot in yesterday’s elections. With the passing of Prop. 2 in Idaho, Initiative 427 in Nebraska and Prop 3 in Utah, these three states become the most recent to join the list of states who have expanded Medicaid.

Emily Barson, Executive Director – United States of Care: “The decisive passage of these ballot initiatives show that when politicians fail to act, the people will. The citizens of Idaho, Nebraska, and Utah went to the polls and made their voices heard. People want to have access to affordable health care to be able to take care of themselves, their families, and their community. Now that the people have spoken, leaders in these states should move as quickly as possible to implement these expansions so people can get the care they need.”
