USofCare Responds to Federal Request for Information on How to Strengthen to Primary Health Care

Published On August 9, 2022

On August 1, 2022, USofCare submitted the below comments to the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) outlining opportunities to strengthen primary health care in the United States. We focused our comments on the importance of advancing primary care models that support personalized care that meets people’s needs and treats them as a whole person. We highlight examples of states pursuing innovative primary care models, strategies to integrate primary and behavioral health care, and opportunities to effectively engage communities to understand their needs and improve community health outcomes.

We look forward to continuing to engage with the Administration on opportunities to support access to critical primary health care services for all people.
