United States of Care Submits Testimony in Support of Colorado Price Transparency Legislation

Published On April 14, 2023

Earlier this week, United States of Care (USofCare) submitted testimony in support of Colorado SB23-252, legislation introduced by Senators Julie Gonzales and Kevin Van Winkle and Representatives Lindsey Daugherty and Anthony Hartsook that would strengthen existing transparency standards for hospital prices.

Health care costs remain a top concern for people in Colorado and across the country. This bill would allow Coloradans greater understanding of hospital prices by granting the state additional mechanisms of enforcement to work alongside federal agencies to ensure hospitals are in compliance with price transparency rules.

We applaud the bill’s sponsors for introducing this legislation and look forward to continuing to work with our state partners to ensure that all Coloradans have access to affordable, understandable health care coverage.
