United States of Care Statement: Supreme Court Decision in Dobbs v. Jackson’s Women’s Health Organization

Published On June 24, 2022

Washington, DC United States of Care released the following statement upon the Supreme Court’s decision which overturned Roe v. Wade and decades of precedent:

Everyone deserves access to health care — whenever and however they need it. This is a foundational pillar of USofCare’s work.

For millions, abortion is health care. Their care should be accessible and equitable.

Today’s decision will further limit people’s access to care, especially for people who already experience deep inequities throughout the health care system. The nation should be knocking down barriers to care, not constructing new ones.

USofCare is deeply disappointed. We and the larger advocacy community will keep working tirelessly for the care that people need, no matter when or how they need it.
