United States of Care Responds to 2025 Medicare Advantage/Part D Advance Notice
United States of Care (USofCare) submitted comments in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’s (CMS) Advance Notice of Methodological Changes for Calendar Year (CY) 2025 for Medicare Advantage (MA) Capitation Rates and Part C and Part D Payment Policies.
The Advance Notice makes annual updates to Medicare Advantage payment rates and updates Medicare Part D to better reflect the redesign of the program required by the USofCare-supported Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). USofCare knows that affordability is people’s top concern with the health care system, and we applaud the IRA proposal implemented through the Advance Notice to lower the out-of-pocket costs cap to $2,000 in 2025. We are also supportive of the ongoing Medicare Drug Price Negotiation efforts, which are expected to decrease prices for the initial set of selected drugs by 63%.
USofCare is grateful for the opportunity to comment on the Advance Notice and looks forward to future engagement with CMS.
