The Public Option Finds An Uncommon Ally In Medicaid In Nevada
In May, Nevada passed the nation’s second public health insurance option. It’s a truly huge moment for health policy and we’re deeply proud to have been a part of the coalition that helped this bill become law.
United States of Care and some of our partners recently penned a piece in Health Affairs provides an overview of the policy behind Nevada’s new public option. The piece dives into how Nevada’s legislature — the first majority-women legislature in the country — designed a bill that would make major progress on people having access to affordable health care.
All that and more is detailed by Stacie Weeks, Marie Zimmerman, Katie Keith, and USofCare’s Liz Hagan in the full piece over at Health Affairs. Give it a read.
