United States of Care Provides Testimony in Support of Washington Legislation to Address Health Care Consolidation

On February 20, United States of Care submitted testimony in support of HB 2548 in Washington. This legislation provides important oversight of health care mergers and acquisitions involving corporate actors, which have been linked to rising concerns around negative impact on patient safety, affordability, and access to care.

We applaud the bill’s sponsors for introducing this legislation and look forward to continuing to work with our state partners to protect Washingtonians from the effects of corporate – rather than community – motives.
