United States of Care and 7wire Ventures Announce Fabric Health as the Recipient of the 2025 Thomas J. Main Ignite Award
Fabric Health makes it easier for busy families to access health care and social services by bringing support directly into local laundromats across five states.
Washington, DC — United States of Care (USofCare) and 7wire Ventures are thrilled to announce Fabric Health as the winner of the 2025 Thomas J. Main Ignite Award. This award, which honors the legacy of the late Thomas J. Main, former Partner at 7wire Ventures and founder of the Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Center, recognizes an early-stage, innovative startup contributing to a more affordable and accessible health care system and delivering improved health outcomes for the people they serve.
Fabric Health improves the health and wellbeing of busy families by turning an everyday chore into meaningful time to obtain, understand, and use their benefits. The organization meets people where they are by helping them navigate health insurance, food assistance, and other critical programs in laundromats and other community anchors across D.C., Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. From helping families renew Medicaid coverage and schedule doctor’s appointments to connecting them with resources like SNAP and utility bill assistance, Fabric Health’s network of former teachers, librarians, and social workers help break down barriers preventing families from accessing care and support.
“Fabric Health is redefining what it means to make health care accessible,” said United States of Care CEO and Co-Founder Natalie Davis. “By turning something as routine as laundry day into a chance to connect with care, Fabric Health is making our health care system work better for everyone – especially those too often left out of it.”
“Thomas J. Main believed deeply in solutions that make health care more human and accessible,” said Robert Garber, Managing Partner of 7wire Ventures. “Fabric Health’s model exemplifies that vision. Their work shows how meeting people where they are can remove barriers, build trust, and deliver meaningful results for families and communities.”
“We built Fabric Health to make support as easy and convenient as the lives of the families we serve,” said Courtney Bragg, Co-Founder of Fabric Health. “Our goal is to design technology and services that fit naturally into people’s daily routines, whether that starts in a laundromat or on a phone. We’re honored to receive the Thomas J. Main Ignite Award and grateful to United States of Care and 7wire Ventures for recognizing the power of meeting families where they are.
