United States of Care Responds to Calendar Year (CY) 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

On September 14, 2026, United States of Care submitted comments in response to the Calendar Year (CY) 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Our comments underscore that primary care is the foundation of a high-performing health care system that addresses people’s health care needs and emphasize the need to address the undervaluation of primary care in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule,shore up the primary care infrastructure, and meaningfully consider beneficiary perspectives on the integration of technology in primary care delivery.
