Raquel O. Missbrenner

Communications Coordinator

Raquel joined United States of Care in 2023 as a Communications Assistant and was promoted to Communications Coordinator, where she now drives the organization’s digital strategy — managing social media, overseeing website content, and coordinating design work to keep communications sharp and consistent. She partners across teams to amplify key priorities and find new ways to grow USofCare’s reach and impact.

Before joining USofCare, Raquel served as Communications & Outreach Officer for the Office of the President in Palau, where she led communications strategy for the country’s hosting of the Seventh Our Ocean Conference in 2022. She has also worked at Middle Seat Digital, supporting digital campaigns for high-profile candidates including Beto O’Rourke and Judge Lina Hidalgo. Her background spans advocacy as well — she has championed reproductive rights at the National Abortion Federation and contributed to mental health initiatives at the American Psychological Association.

Raquel holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and an M.A. in Strategic Communication from American University in Washington, D.C.

Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, video games, and getting creative with arts and crafts. A native Southern Californian, she now lives in Macon, Georgia with her husband.
