Raquel O. Missbrenner

Communications Assistant

Raquel O. Missbrenner serves as the Communications Assistant with United States of Care.

Before joining United States of Care, Raquel served as the Communications & Outreach Officer within the Office of the President in the country of Palau, where she developed and implemented the communications strategy for the country’s hosting of the Seventh Our Ocean Conference in 2022. Raquel also interned at Middle Seat Digital, supporting campaign communication efforts for high-profile candidates, including John Fetterman, Beto O’Rourke, and Judge Lina Hidalgo. Prior to working in government and agency settings, she spent time helping people receive safe and legal reproductive care at the National Abortion Federation and supported mental health efforts at the American Psychological Association.

Raquel received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of CA, Riverside, and her Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from the American University in Washington, DC.

When Raquel isn’t working, she can be found on horseback, practicing archery, wandering on a hiking trail, or painting. She is originally from southern California and currently resides in Atlanta with her husband.
