Rachel Bonesteel is a Policy Manager at United States of Care, where she evaluates state and federal policies and conducts research to advance access to quality, affordable health care. Rachel has experience working on a range of health policy issues related to Medicaid, Medicare, and the private health insurance market.
Rachel previously served as a Specialist in Policy Analysis at the Children’s Hospital Association in DC. There she advocated on behalf of member children’s hospitals across the country and participated in coalitions to advance legislative and regulatory policy priorities to improve children’s health. Rachel has experience in policy analysis, with an emphasis on policies related to behavioral health, maternal and infant health, Medicaid demonstration waivers, and reduction in youth use of tobacco and e-cigarette products.
Rachel has a BSPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
