USofCare Urges U.S. House of Representatives to Pass Lower Costs, More Transparency Act
United States of Care (USofCare) sent a letter to leadership urging members of the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the bipartisan Lower Costs, More Transparency Act (H.R. 5378) ahead for a vote on the bill scheduled for later today.
Across demographics, geography, and party affiliation, people agree that health care is too expensive. USofCare’s latest public opinion research (including a survey conducted by Morning Consult and focus groups facilitated by NORC at the University of Chicago) frames for lawmakers the urgency in passing the Lower Costs, More Transparency Act and the overwhelming public support from voters to do so. Passage of the bipartisan Lower Prices, More Transparency Act will provide people with the pricing transparency they need to make informed decisions about their health care, and sets in place critical policies to ensure people are charged fair prices for the medical care they need, regardless of where they seek it.
