United States of Care Welcomes Andrew Dreyfus as Inaugural Participant in Pioneering Expert in Residence Program
Washington, D.C. — Today, United States of Care announced that Andrew Dreyfus, a former CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and an expert in health system change, will become the organization’s first Expert in Residence.
Having served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) from 2010 to 2022, Dreyfus led the way in innovation on payment models, quality improvement, and health equity. Dreyfus’s contribution to the health care sector has been significant, with a history enriched with leadership roles, including being the force behind the Massachusetts 2006 Health Reform Law that paved the way for the Affordable Care Act.

The Expert in Residence Program is a new initiative by USofCare to commemorate its 5th Anniversary in 2023. The intent is to draw leaders from their dynamic network and collaborate intensively on pivotal health care projects, leveraging the combined expertise and experience.
Through this initiative, the USofCare team aims to benefit from the resident expert’s insights while offering them a platform to advance the organization’s mission and mentor the upcoming generation of health care and policy leaders.
