USofCare Submits Federal Comments Urging Federal Approval of Nevada’s Section 1332 Waiver
Washington, DC — United States of Care (USofCare) submitted comments recently urging the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of the Treasury to approve Nevada’s proposed Section 1332 State Innovation Waiver. The federal comment period for the proposed waiver remains open until March 14th. USofCare released the following statement as the Nevada public option reaches this critical milestone:
“United States of Care is proud to submit federal comments urging approval of Nevada’s Section 1332 Waiver to move us one step closer to providing Nevadans better access to affordable, quality health insurance through a public option,” said CEO and Co-Founder of United States of Care Natalie Davis. “It’s critical that the federal government approve this waiver and help Nevada join the growing list of states that offer dependable state coverage options for people.”
Nevada’s public option is highly popular with voters, and would help deliver relief to Nevadans struggling amid significant health care affordability burdens. The approval of the state’s proposed Section 1332 Waiver is a critical step in the process of implementing the public option, as it allows the state to capture federal funding to make coverage and care more affordable and dependable for Nevadans.
