Raquel O. Missbrenner serves as the Communications Assistant at United States of Care, where she leads the organization’s social media strategy and manages website content to amplify their mission.
Before joining United States of Care, Raquel was the Communications & Outreach Officer for the Office of the President in Palau, where she crafted and executed the communications strategy for the country’s hosting of the Seventh Our Ocean Conference in 2022. Her experience also includes working at Middle Seat Digital, where she supported digital campaigns for high-profile political candidates like John Fetterman, Beto O’Rourke, and Judge Lina Hidalgo. In addition to her work in government and agency settings, Raquel has been an advocate for reproductive rights at the National Abortion Federation and has contributed to mental health initiatives at the American Psychological Association.
Raquel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from American University in Washington, DC.
Outside of work, Raquel enjoys horseback riding, playing video games, and getting creative with arts and crafts. A Southern California native, she now lives in Macon, Georgia with her husband.
