Kristie Canegallo
Kristie Canegallo has set strategic direction and led operations for complex organizations in the public and private sectors over the past 20 years. As White House Deputy Chief of Staff to President Obama from 2014-2017, she executed some of the nation’s highest priority initiatives, including implementation of the Affordable Care Act, which expanded health coverage to nearly 50 million people. As former Acting Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Homeland Security and Vice President of Trust & Safety at Google, Kristie has managed multi-billion dollar budgets and global workforces to ensure security objectives and operational continuity amid a dynamic threat landscape and rapid technological acceleration. She previously served on the National Security Council and at the Department of Defense, including as a career civilian in Afghanistan and Iraq. Kristie holds an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. from Colgate University and was a member of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
