Dr. Henry Ting serves as the global airline’s first senior vice president and Chief Health & Wellness Officer – a first for a U.S. carrier.
Dr. Ting is redefining corporate health and wellness by integrating healthcare expertise with public health, employee well-being, and data science across a technology-enabled global enterprise. He is an experienced leader driving large-scale transformations to enhance workforce performance and consumer trust.
Dr. Ting leads a team focused on a holistic approach to well-being including physical, emotional, social, and financial well-being through innovative and strategic partnerships. Delta’s wellness strategies enable of our people to thrive in their roles and to care for each other and customers. Dr. Ting oversees Delta’s $2 billion dollar investment in our healthcare ecosystem, leaves and absences programs, and wellness data platform.
Before joining Delta, Dr. Ting served as Mayo Clinic’s first Chief Value Officer to achieve Mayo Clinic’s vision as the world’s best and most trusted health care system. His responsibilities included quality of care, patient safety, patient experience and affordability.
Dr. Ting serves as Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Emory University and Emeritus Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. He serves on the Business Group on Health (BGH) Board of Directors, United States of Care (U.S. of Care) Board of Directors, and Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network (HCPLAN) Executive Forum. Dr. Ting’s academic focus includes health services research and implementation science. He has lectured worldwide and authored over 200 journal articles, book chapters and publications. Dr. Ting received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. He completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of St. Thomas and received a health care executive certification from Harvard Business School.
