Jess Kubis joined United States of Care in July 2019 as a Development Officer where she leads work with our institutional funders and helps to ensure all donors and volunteers feel valued and connected to our work.
Prior to joining US of Care, Jess worked in development and communications at the Women’s Foundation in Minnesota, where she specialized in institutional fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and project management. She is excited to continue this work at US of Care and use her skills to support a mission that is very close to her heart. As a survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Jess knows the importance of having access to quality, affordable health care regardless of your health status, social need, or income.
Previous to her work in the non-profit sector, Jess also held positions with Minnesota Oncology-Hematology, P.A. and the University of Minnesota Law School and taught Language Arts to junior high students in Southern California. Making a difference in the world has always been her driving force.
Jess is a native of Northern Minnesota and an alumna of the College of St. Benedict, where she received her BA in English and secondary education with a minor in Spanish. She lives in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN and loves it because she is within walking distance of an awesome library and Target, two things she cannot live without.
