Catherine is currently a Health Equity Integration Project Manager for HealthPartners, an integrated nonprofit health care provider and health insurance company; and is a Board Member for the Minnesota Constitution for Citizens with Disabilities as a Community Representative. Prior to these roles she has cultivated diverse experiences with health policy and health equity across sectors including national disability rights organizations, the United States Senate, a county-level public health department, consulting companies, and as a Policy Coordinator at United States of Care.Catherine earned her Master of Public Health in Administration and Policy at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and is an alumnus of Hamline University where she double majored in Social Justice and Public Health Sciences.
Catherine A. Jacobson (she/her) is an emerging leader with a passion for health equity and improvement of the systems that foster health. Catherine was born in South Korea with OCA1A Albinism and was adopted as an infant. Catherine grew up in the disability community as both of her parents are blind, and she identifies with several disabilities herself including blindness, dyslexia, anxiety, and depression. Her passion for health equity developed from disability advocacy and her lived-experiences with intersecting identities.
