
Allyson Horstman is the Policy & External Affairs Coordinator for United States of Care.
Before joining the team, Allyson aided Maryland State Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk in her health equity and public health policy priorities. Prior, she spent a year in service as an AmeriCorps VISTA working in the Access to Care Program at Columbus Public Health. There, she led the Columbus Health Literacy Committee and oversaw a referral process to reduce the uninsured client population by connecting them to enrollment assisters.
Allyson is an alumna of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she earned an MSPH in Health Policy and a certificate in Health Disparities and Health Inequality. Allyson holds a BS of Public Health from The University of Texas at Austin.
