Christine Nguyen is the Policy Coordinator at United States of Care, where she assists the Policy Team in their work with state and federal policymakers to create equitable solutions in health care. Prior to joining United States of Care, Christine has worked in health care advocacy with organizations such as the National Partnership for Women and Families, the American Academy of Family Physicians, The Fairness Project, and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
In her last role as Health and Housing Integration Intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Christine worked closely with both the Housing Team and Health Team to address issues such as chronic homelessness, substance use disorder and criminal justice reform and create and support policies that utilize a housing first approach to health. Prior to that, Christine worked as a Research Intern with The Fairness Project during the 2018 election cycle to provide background to states working to expand Medicaid through referendum. Through her work, she was able to see Medicaid expansion pass in Idaho, Nebraska and Utah.
Christine is an alumna of the University of Michigan, where she studied Sociology and Entrepreneurship. She also holds a Masters of Public Health, with a concentration in health policy from the Milken Institute of Public Health at the George Washington University.
