Tom Kise has over a decade of communications and external affairs experience in the political, government, and public affairs sectors. During this time, he has helped corporations, politicians and issue campaigns and has his own first hand experience with the health care system.
Tom operated his own boutique communications firm, River Bend Strategies, whose clients included Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Black Rock Group, the Responsible Clean Air Coalition, and the California ballot initiative – Yes on 1F. Tom played roles in a number of other firms where he led issue campaigns around educational access, small business, and greater access to capital. Tom authored a study on Congressional campaigns and their use of Uber over the past three election cycles. Most recently, he was a Senior Communications Advisor for Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, a free market membership organization.
Tom was a Regional Communications Director and spokesperson for the 2008 McCain campaign. He also served as Senior Advisor for Coalitions and Communications for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s reelection campaign. Tom developed a strong interest in policy while working in state government, as Communications Director for both Virginia House of Delegates Majority Leader Morgan Griffith and California State Senator Abel Maldonado. He has worked at both the Republican National Committee as the Coalitions Director and at the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee as Director of TV and Radio.
As a survivor of Lymphoma, Tom understands there is more to life than professional accomplishments. He is an avid photographer and spends as much time as possible with his wife Ann Marie and his two sons Jackson and Charlie.
Tom graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.
